Working breakfast "Bees in a Changing Climate"
On Friday, 10 December 2021, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Tokyo organised a working breakfast (seminar) with the title "Bees in a Changing Climate". Representatives from Yamada Bee Farm, IGES (Institute for Global Environmental Strategies) and the NPO Ginza Honeybee Project spoke about the importance of beekeeping, its contribution to the planet's biodiversity and about climate change, which is heavily affecting bee populations. The event was attended by 42 beekeepers, beekeeping and climate change experts, heads of ministries, governmental and non-governmental organisations.
During the seminars, a traditional Slovenian breakfast of bread, butter, honey, milk and apples was presented and served.
